For the crew of the Redland Runner, it began with an expedition like any other:
An underground tomb
A trove of lost treasures
And a lurking horror waiting for them in the dark.

I've decided that 2026 is going to be the year where I finally give up on my dreams.

I just gotta face it: I'm never going to own the Dallas Cowboys.

Kicking off the new year with an old classic: a Halo CE co-op run, on Legendary, with my wife.

I'd nearly forgotten the truly ABSURB number of enemies that "Truth and Reconciliation" throws at you sometimes.

I made it into the credits of Tron: Ares! And in a fun font, no less.

No surprise, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack has completely taken over my Spotify yearly wrap-up. I just can't get enough Your Idol.
Hell, I'm listening to it right now.

That's right, Brian Wilson. Christmas *does* come this time each year.

I've oft said to myself "Boy, I wish I had a game console that was basically just a simple PC so I can play steam games whilst splayed out on my couch," and lo and behold they announce just that.
Consider me intrigued.

My friends bullied me into getting Arc Raiders. We'll see how this goes.

Something I hadn't considered before moving out of the downtown Vancouver area is how much darker it would feel without the city lights. Gonna be an interesting winter...

My kingdom for a movie musical where Channing Tatum and Zac Efron play brothers who just dance and stuff for ninety-ish minutes.

The only thing spookier than Halloween is the uproariously loud construction noise happening on the other side of my bedroom wall right now.

I've had Drew Struzan's artwork hanging on my wall for almost as long as I can remember. To me (and many), his work embodied the very spirit of movies, and even though he's been retired for some time now, cinema itself is that much lesser without him.
RIP to a true art legend.

I’ve been so busy running around these past couple weeks that I completely forgot Canadian Thanksgiving was today.

I’m thankful for this surprise day off!

I have this recurring misperception of moving, in that I always trick myself into believing all the stress that comes with it will suddenly go away immediately after it’s over. In actuality, that stress takes several weeks to properly dissipate. I now look forward to that fast approaching moment.

RIP Robert Redford, a legend of cinema if there ever was one.

Go watch Sneakers if you haven’t already.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is one if the finest jrpgs I think I’ve ever played. Mechanically it’s a step up from the last one in nearly every way, and even after sinking 80 hours into it and exhausting most of the side content, I still didn’t want to put it down.
