The caesura into “Sonst” is a big sonnet move, but the stumbling-over-itself rhyme scheme of the tercets and the short last sentence obscure its sonnetry

Was reminded to read it by the black kites crowding the skies over Mumbai & Delhi (as Richard points out, we all love urban birds of prey), so I was glad to see them make an appearance! Here’s a picture of one who’s just plundered the dining area at the Delhi Golf Club and is looking for seconds:
