If you spoke to me yesterday, I would've disagreed out of support for progressive policy exclusively, but I spent the day thinking about it, and I agree now. I just can't stand when people don't give others any grace or patience to reconsider themselves.

I don't think this is fair to the Bluesky blue-checks in this instance. A lot of people saw Platner as the next Mamdani, including myself. It takes some time for people who previously supported someone to reevaluate. Stages of grief, etc. A little grace for folks (not politicians) goes a long way.

The government is in shambles but no, lack of purity tests is not what caused this moment in American politics. It's Democrats being TOO bipartisan in their policies. A purity test to you and me may be completely different to someone else. Obv Platner awful example for the record, Nazi tattoo is bad

no I am not defending the tattoo. it's abhorrent and he should get it removed. what I am saying is that we literally all read his reddit post history. he was a majority report fan. there is no way that this guy is a secret nazi.

there is a significant difference between forever extending empathy and murdering them. it should not be difficult to agree that murder is both wrong and not productive
