In December #Labour & announced an amazingly ambitious plan for Clean Power by 2030 🇬🇧

In September, for the 1st time & for 1 hour, the UK’s entire electricity needs were met by #cleanpower. There has to be a first hour and it was 16 Sept.

Labour Government delivering a renewed Britain

“it’s not for us to have shame – it’s for them”

Extraordinary courage from #giselepelicot. She was horrifically wronged by men - strangers and close family alike - and spoke out without hesitation

It’s on me and other men to expect more from eachother. Call it out, report it. There’s no excuse

Public Electric Vehicle charging rollout going pretty well, according to NAO. Good 👍🏻

Next step is making significant domestic home charging savings available to everyone (inc 38% without off-street parking)

Public chargepoints for electric vehicles - NAO report
Public electric vehicle chargepoint installations are on track, but government needs to make sure they are located in the right places.

Labour government quietly but surely trying to undo some of the damage of Brexit.

Defence spending increase sadly a necessity in a fractured Europe & with an isolationist US

“He thrives on despair. A man for all grievances. Farage has no real solutions to anything. A call to cut immigration to zero won’t begin to address the systemic problems within the economy. It’s just a soundbite to lure people in“ Farage nailed by John Crace

Like our Nige, Nick Candy doesn’t appear to have any solutions to anything … but he does have very deep pockets

Big contrast to the blatant corruption that festered under of recent Tory governments. Hodge is a welcome appointment for a very tough job. This Gvt is serious about tackling corruption.

Look forward new ideas under an Anti-Corruption Strategy. Dirty money is a huge issue in London especially

More of this from Labour leadership please; we’re bringing change fast & wide, need to shout about it
Angela Rayner lists the things Labour have begun and achieved in their first five months

There are lots of things that can and should be called out, but credit to where it is due

Rayner was excellent on #BBCLauraK this morning - she’s a top communicator and clearly totally understands her brief. the fast-tracking of housing development and 150 infrastructure projects will quietly have a massive impact in the coming years
Angela Rayner was very patient with her explanations to Laura Kuenssberg this morning, despite her usual routine of repeatedly asking the same question while ignoring the answer

I like Rayner, & like the fact that she seems to boil the piss of all the right people

Launched today, I welcome sweeping cultural and operational changes to work and benefits - with the right support & skills many people can get back to meaningful work, bringing dignity and independence. Employers need to do their bit too - providing accessible work and opportunities for young people
