a visitor to london yesterday pointed out to me that the pigeons seemed absent. she was right! on my walk to work this morning, this park (former quaker burial ground btw) is normally full of pigeons. not a rock dove in sight. just the crows. what does this augur?

the smell in this little haggerston glade is amazing. ripe plums and wildflower blossoms. if radox herbal essences did urban planning, we’d have a lot more of this.

i know! it’s all in here. for what it’s worth, he seems to regret being cruel to animals. there’s a great early sabbath story about him routinely going to the pub on horseback because the horse would be able to carry him home when he was passed out and slung over the saddle.
