My ex of 3 years would never let me top because he said I wasn’t masculine enough to top him. Gays outside of sex will be the most fem acting bitches and then as soon as it comes to sex it goes into this fake hypermasculinity that mimics a school yard bully.
I firmly believe that the idea that "Feminine = Bottom = Submissive" and that "Masculine = Top = Dominant" and anything outside of that is an anomaly and "weird" comes from that, and a lot of us still reproduce it, knowingly or not
