#tbt. 4 years ago this week we closed out the festival tour of Sound Of Violence with a homecoming, showing it at Night Visions in Helsinki. And the evening had an unexpected special guest in the legendary John Landis. We had such a fun talk and he signed my program A special encounter. Good times.

Fun fact: My biggest inspiration for how I envisaged Alexis's synaesthesia in Sound of Violence were Northern lights. Even described them as such in the screenplay.

To celebrate the end of the strike, a little bit of BTS from Love is the Monster, which we got to shoot thanks to the interim agreement.
My process is focused on actors & performances. So grateful for the cast & the amazing collaborative space we shared throughout the shoot.

Directing an ensemble is quite the undertaking, but, with such a fun bunch in Love is the Monster, it was above all a joy. Missing everyone even if I keep seeing their faces on my screen all the time, as the edit progresses.
