Seems to me it's simple. Day one you appoint two new justices, and call on the 'oldest two current members' (Thomas and Alito) to resign. Then the ball is in their court. Everyone knows those two need to go. If they do....there's no expansion. If not...oh well, you appoint two more and go to 13.

I think there will be more appetite for this now that so many norms have been broken. For example, this would have been unthinkable in the past, but I would almost expect the next Dem administration to appoint new Supreme Court justices on Day one.

Still bottoming at 38%. For 10 straight years that seems to have held as his cement floor. Not saying that will last forever, but I'm afraid it will take a lot more misery for all of us before it goes much down from there.

I dunno - seems to me it would have made a lot more sense to help get her elected first, and then make a lot of noise about the Gaza policy afterwards. The people of Gaza would be a whole lot better off in that scenario than now.
