I'm not a member of this website, I'm simply traveling through it as per maritime law. Meme war veteran. As dense as granite. Inexplicably live in Iceland.

I feel like going after guns in Australia after a terrorist attack is like trying to ban prop planes after 9/11. I get the sentiment, but it's a different problem that needs a different solution. Plus, even if you have all the solutions already enacted, eventually something bad is going to happen.

Also, as I've learned from Daggerfall, they can commit tax fraud and take out a ton of loans, get turned to a vampire, then not have to pay for it.

Thank you for reminding me that Jonathan Coulton exists.

Still hate the look of the progress pride flag but man we need this sort of thing now more than ever.

Paradoxically, in normal times this should be career ending, but right now we shouldn't focus too much on it because of the shitton of actual legitimate crimes his admin is doing.

I think the trick is to just ignore that rule. If nobody says shit, nothing will get reported.

I mean if your name is out there it's probably a good idea to feign feeling sorry for them

It isn't Noctis, but look up the Weird Worlds/Infinite Space series.

Whatever laws or executive orders enable this should be used to imprison members of the Trump admin in 2028.

I could see a more competent administration pulling it off in good economic times (still wouldn't advocate it though), but if Bush's career politicians couldn't do it, Trump's 22 year old cryptobros and alcoholic ghouls certainly cannot.

I'll agree that the vibecession was a real thing and the economy was genuinely improving, but the housing crisis remains an increasingly severe problem, likewise with certain consumer goods skyrocketing in price over the last ten years, like, as silly as it sounds, fast food.

People focus too much on fascism and forget that authoritarianism is the problem and it doesn't need to resemble Hitler, Mussolini, Stalín or Mao 1-1 to be evil

The "use in healthcare research and government busywork" argument is the one I find the most sound. It's very frustrating that things AI never should have been made for(art and media) were what we got publically first.

Like this shit should be used to make building homes quicker, not mass art theft
