Nature was out in force at the allotment, watched lots of Red Admirals enjoying the fallen plums, and then moments later I got to watch a thunderstorm in the distance. Unfortunately my photography skills weren’t enough to capture the lightning, but it was oddly peaceful to watch.

So back from holiday and the wasps nest is still buzzing away in the middle of my allotment, half of the damson tree has come down, and now I’ve bust my knee. I love a challenge but come on!

We got our allotment keys! 🥰 Day two of clearing weeds, brambles, and rubbish, was interrupted by the discovery of a rather grumpy wasps nest in an old raised bed. Got my first ever stings too. Fun times! 😂 regroup and try again tomorrow maybe.

Absolutely this! I voted for a change away from this kind of rhetoric, I would absolutely love to see some actual interest in fixing these core issues - please Labour!

Or, just spitballing here, the government could address the genuine issues, such as housing issues, cost of living crisis, and confront disinformation spread about immigration to help better inform people, rather than pandering to xenophobia and exacerbating hostile rhetoric and scapegoating.

Acceptance form for my allotment sent, now I just need to wait for the keys 🥳 it’s a complete jungle, but I am looking forward to having the satisfaction of taming it!

Crochet Temp. Blanket update: Jan-April! Had a few yarn crises this month, so I’m a few days behind, but getting back on track! 🧶
A crocheted striped temperature blanket lay on a sofa, the ends are not weaved in yet. The colours are predominantly blue and purple near the bottom and yellow and red near the top. I’ve used a row of white yarn to separate the months.
