Nature is visiting us again at home today, at the moment we have a possum at the front steps, 4 geckos under the house and a water dragon in the backyard.

I notice AGL Energy have released their EV charging App today. I think it’s great for competition and growth that there are over 20 EV charging networks in Australia now myevjourney.com/2024/12/10/b...

Great to see another Exploren EV charging station opened. This 60kW dual CCS2 charger is complimentary for patrons of Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre, run jointly by the YMCA and Council, at West Pymble NSW Australia. #evsky #evcharging

Thank you, that’s really interesting to see that list of UK prices. Here in Australia where our currency is $2 to 1£, our public DC pricing ranges from free to 90c but, on average is 50c to 75c kWh, so it seems we are very lucky our prices are about half those in UK myevjourney.com/2024/10/19/e...

Hi, 8 days driving 4,849km, longest in 1 day 640km. I didn’t record driving time, as I stopped off at beaches often. I stayed at 4 towns on way north, then stayed on the reef. On way back stayed in 4 other towns. Since 2021 I’ve kept a small blog of how my EV has been myevjourney.com/2024/10/25/t...

yep I agree, PlugShare is great, I used PlugShare to plan my 4,849km trip from Sydney to Townsville return and everything went really smoothly, never had to wait for a charger!

it looks like we might have slightly cheaper EV charging prices here in Australia. 1Euro buys 1.67AUD$ at present and our charging prices range from free to 90c kWh. Average around 60-70c kWh. We have lots of Apps too :) 29 different networks competing which is good to keep prices competitive

I guess we are going ok in Australia then. I’ve been watching our prices. 1 AU$ is currently equal to only 0.5£ and our EV charging prices for DC charging range from free to 90c/kWh, average about 60c/kWh myevjourney.com/2024/10/19/e...

I'm not sure what you mean, I can see the status of NRMA chargers and they're not all blacked out?

I notice Jolt has now more 22kW DC chargers along the Northern Beaches, there are now 10 from Palm Beach to Freshwater. One of the bonuses of electricity being everywhere. It’s great to be able to refill the car during a quick swim at the beach. First time using this one at Collaroy Beach NSW.

During the week I saw 4 foxes behind our house on edge of Lane Cove National Park. I sent my photos to LCNP & they also suggested I add my report to feralscan.org.au or their app. I hadn’t heard of it, but it a great national database to help efforts to protect our native animals from feral animals!

Good to see more EV chargers being installed, these are at West Pymble NSW, near the park and the fitness and aquatic centre. They will be on the Exploren network when finished.

Western Plans Zoo at Dubbo NSW is a great place to visit the animals and also I could charge my EV with renewable energy while there. Trip home yesterday was 416km and only used 86% of my battery.

3 years ago bought an EV and now travelled over 80,000km. Pleasing to see so many more brands now available in Australia and a very competitive EV charging network. So far I have come across 27 EV charging networks, which is great to see. I’m keeping my list here myevjourney.com/2024/11/10/e...
