It was really smart of them to make the password reset system understand that my phone number and email address are linked together when the actual login system does not, in fact, know this

The multiple password-change-notification text messages, from different phone numbers and with different formatting, are not inspiring a lot of confidence

Somehow it made me change my password immediately after trying to sign in, and now doesn't recognize the new OR old password

To me, it’s wild that their CEO would think that Trump is somehow NOT a supporter of “Big Tech”

Having worked at a bunch of “big tech companies”, they absolutely don’t care about this; the cost is minuscule compared to everything else

Unfortunately with companies at this scale, there’s no way for policies to be affected at all by ICs at the ground level 😢 the system is very much working as-intended (from the company’s perspective)

Yup, and honestly even those are a kind of gray area!

I side-step this as a contractor there but for the full-time folks, the company culture is very much “don’t contribute unless you want to take on this headache for yourself”
