The dog has decided to stop me from working or moving, so I guess it's a good time to fire up a 2.5 hour YouTube video on my work computer.

This year I'm growing three kinds of hot peppers, five kinds of heirloom tomatoes, three varieties of heirloom beans, summer & winter savoury because a I'm a Nova Scotia girl, "Rainbow" kale because it's pretty.

Today I frolicked in the snow with a small dog. Five stars, would recommend.

A new and emerging collection, but since moving into a house with space to garden I've gotten really into heritage bean varieties. Last year I grew "Trionfo violetta" and "Scarlet Runner." This year's addition is "Kahnawake Mohawk."

Exactly one year ago I was crossing Waiau Pass, one of the most spectacular & rewarding days of my thru-hike of Te Araroa in Aotearoa New Zealand. Today was one of the most stressful days I've had since I retired from law 7 years ago. Off to gaze at hiking photos & pretend I'm somewhere else.
