I appreciate the Texas Guard for not challenging any of this former active duty Army guy's assumptions of what a guardsman looks like.

Read beyond the headline and this actually seems like a very reasonable pick. Guy makes bad decisions as a young man, pays his debt to society, starts a business, and dedicates his life to helping other convicts turn their lives around.
