Me too! I need to read the book first but I loved both The Martian and Artemis by Andy Weir so I’m excited!

Alix E. Harrow is a powerful writer like that. The Once and Future Witches was also 5 stars. I should add The Everlasting to my TBR

I wasn’t sure about the boundaries/limitations of the various magics, mostly. (What was possible, what wasn’t, etc.) I hadn’t heard of those other two but I’ll have to check them out!

I’m trying to finish reading Sabriel by Garth Nix. I’ve been busy so it’s taken me awhile but I’m getting close!

I’ve been meaning to read Addie LaRue!

Poorly but hopefully things will go better once I’m less busy!

Absolutely! It’s a great story and the setting puts me in the autumn weather mind

I think of Ninth House (Leigh Bardugo) for spooky, Legends and Lattes (Travis Baldree) for cozy, and The Scorpio Races (Maggie Stiefvater) just for general vibes.

Naomi Novik is great! Have you read her Spinning Silver? I’m currently reading Sabriel and it’s quite good

Emerson’s back with more thoughts on books.

What’s one story that’s stuck with you like this?

(For me, I’d say The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow)
