22. A Single Thread by Tracy Chevalier

Another story about the choices women have to make & society’s expectations. Set post WW1 so a different time but still resonates

21. The Alice Network by Kate Quinn

20. This One Life by Amanda Prowse

Not at all the story I was expecting! About whether women can have it all & the choices that have to be made. A good read!

19. Before the Swallows Come Back

A story that starts gently but then rapidly goes downhill for everyone. A beautiful love story

18. The Satsuma Complex by Bob Mortimer

16. Rules of Civility by Amor Towles

Having loved the writing in Gentleman in Moscow, I wanted to read another by Towles. This did not disappoint. Shows how you can assume so much about a person & be completely wrong. And how seemingly small decisions can change a life course

15. The Lieutenant by Kate Granville

Really enjoyed this one because I really warmed to the main character & his moral battles over his duty to his country vs his humanity

14. The Women by Kristin Hannah

Hard-hitting novel about the American women in the Vietnam war, the atrocities that took place & the PTSD suffered by many. Had me crying on the Tube more than once.

11. The Authority Gap by Mary Ann Sieghart.

Non-fiction this time & a book that everyone should read. At times, left me angry & upset with what some women have gone through. Ends on very practical ways to narrow the gap
