The commodification and "clankerisation" of human emotion in #podcasting is getting out of hand. While I endorse AI use for production efficiency, adding a digitised "laugh" to an AI-generated podcast to make it seem more "real" is counterproductive to the entire legacy and appeal of podcasts.

Thrilled to be part of 50 Years of Media at Westminster conference and presenting my thesis on persuasive tech, datafication and 'privacy' today. Very cool that Westminster offered the first ever UK Media Studies degree in 1975, I'm honoured to be part of that tradition!
