The Great Pleaides Complex! A new study, led by Andrew Boyle, identified the diffuse remnants of this cluster and trace them back to the same natal cloud! Truly impressive how much we can learn with Gaia an TESS data even on an open cluster as famous as the Pleaides.

I am currently visiting the Geneva Observatory for the first time to give a seminar tomorrow!

Besides being an exciting opportunity for scientific exchanges, it's always great to learn about the history of astronomical research in specific institutes.

A great paper led by Josefa Großschedl has a appeared on arxiv this morning!

A detailed study on the velocity dispersion of the subgroups of Sco-Cen, the nearest OB association. The expansion of the complex is driven by stellar feedback, engendering a sequential star formation process.

Exciting talk from @mac0598.bsky.social in Stellar Origins 2025, showing a time-resolved supernovae map, tracing back the orbits of young star clusters and comparing them with extinction and H-alpha maps!

Great overview talk from @nmiretroig.bsky.social at Stellar Origins 2025 about the young OB associations and clusters in the solar neighborhood. Gaia data has truly enabled to analyse their rich substructure in more exquisite detail!

Great talk from Eleonara Zari in Stellar Origins 2025 on a spectroscopic survey of young OB stars and how their velocities help us to learn about the structure and dynamics of our Milky Way!

Great talk from @joaoalves.bsky.social at Stellar Origins 2025, describing how massive stars from the Upper-Sco complex produce filaments molecular clouds through the dispersal of the residual gas!

On my way to Stellar Origins 2025 (@stellarorigins2025.bsky.social)! A 12 hours train journey from Paris to Vienna, to attend and hopefully contribute the latest science updates on star formation, the ISM, molecular clouds and young stellar clusters & associations! 😀

New update on the ALS catalogue! 🌌 #galactic #stellarastro

For this third version, Pantaleoni González et al. further expanded their list, combining Gaia DR3 with spectroscopic surveys. This allowed them to map out the position of more than 15,000 massive OB stars in the Milky Way!

For my last publication, I can't find my code back unfortunately, but I think I used this one from matplotlib: CB_color_cycle = ['#377eb8', '#ff7f00', '#4daf4a', '#f781bf', '#a65628', '#984ea3', '#999999', '#e41a1c', '#dede00'], with an example of the attached Figure 4 😄
