Enforced volunteering is NOT volunteering, it is slave labour.

How true! When volunteering becomes compulsory, it just becomes slave labour.

Why are this Labour government trying to be Reform? Reform is a far right cult led by a fascist. Labour should stop trying to be them, they are not very good at it! And most sane people don't want it.

Having lived in Spain almost 40 years ago where ID cards were compulsory then, I see absolutely no downside to them and plenty of upside. In my opinion they should have been introduced years ago!

Both Reform and Johnson are a threat to our national security! They both have strong links to Russia, have both been proven to lie over and over again, have both put themselves before their country and have both damaged this country beyond any fathomable belief!

This is 1933 repeating itself. Then it was the Jews and the Gays in Germany, now it is immigrants and Muslims in the UK. This country has always been multicultural and is all the richer for it. Like his predecessor Farage uses populism to garner support. He has no place in modern society!

Farage doesn't like facts. He's always had a pretty poor relationship with them!

Everyone should write to the BBC and complain. Their unsubtle promotion of Nigel Farage and Reform UK has gone beyond reasonable! It's easy to complain (www.bbc.co.uk/contact/comp...) and they'll have to start taking notice if more people do! All four of their current responses relate to Reform!

Farage says no-one voted to let the migrants in. Yes they did! It is called Brexit!!! Farage very deliberately used all his persuasive skills and lies to entice people to vote to throw away the Dublin Agreement and to create the immigration problem he complains about!

If only someone, anyone, had told the truth! Farage, Johnson and Cameron are directly responsible for this. Their lies were the only reason that the UK voted the way that it did and are the very reason it would never do so knowing what it does now!

They remain a private company funded by the fossil fuel industry, so hardly impartial. This too is never mentioned. Their disproportionate representation in the media is symptomatic of the demise of the Tory party and largely the reason for their success. The media needs right wing and they are it!

I do hope you work a little better! Windows 95 was not Microsoft’s crowning glory!

Farage is an irrelevance, a nothing. That’s what upsets him the most! He’s a liar who says what he thinks people will want to hear. We did not have a problem with boats before Brexshit. His comments on Macron are irrelevant and meaningless. He’s just a fool. Why give him airtime?

That says it all!

The problem here is that you’re right. Labour has achieved a lot in one year. The problem is what it has also done. Condoned genocide, condoned war crimes, condoned the illegal occupation of Gaza. Destroyed many LGBT rights, abandoned the WASPI women. What you have done is good … and very bad!
July 5, 2025 at 7:32 AM
What I don’t understand is why our government, and others around the world, are happy to condone genocide, condone war crimes, condone the illegal occupation of Gaza and then proscribe anyone who opposes it as terrorists. No, they shouldn’t have sprayed planes, but terrorists? Really!

Sadly, it is right. The UK is in a very dark place. Starmer needs to wake up to reality and start negotiating for us to rejoin. The damage that Brexshit has done to the UK just keeps coming and coming. The vast majority of people want to rejoin - let’s get on with it!

Very well said!!!

Oops!

You’re not wrong. Whatever one thinks of him (and I can’t stand the very air he breathes let alone him) he is a world master at populist statements and riding on the latest political wave!
