They would need the kalkite eventually, and they would mobilize the entirety of the Imperial Military to seize it. Even the Clone Army couldn't have stopped them, the Imperial Military is too big.

I suppose, but the point is, the Ghorman Front was doomed from the start, because the only thing that could have saved the world is a full blown battle and a rebel military garrison to hold the line.

And even at their height, the Rebel Alliance didn't have that power.

That wouldn't have helped Ghorman. There were TIE Fighters in the air, an armada in orbit, and plans underway for the planet even as the massacre happened. A more armed and aggressive protest would have killed more imperials, but would have been crushed anyway, and not changed anything.
