Even supporters of the bill acknowledge palliative care and social care is at a poor state right now so passing this in this moment will be irresponsible.

However I do appreciate the sincerity supporters of the bill have shown as this is such a difficult area for many people

If passed we will be changing the definition of what life is and the NHS will now be in preserving life as well as taking life away which is a road I don’t want to go down.

As had been said by many people the pressure this will place on many elderly people whether ill or not to ease the burden of themselves on their family is a huge concern .

Whilst there are some safeguards in the bill this will be a slippery slope where eventually courts interpretation will extend the definition of where assisted dying will be permissible once the you accept the principle
