The limping and missing toes that many pigeons have are almost always because of stringfoot – they get tangled up in string or human hair on the ground and it tightens.

If you spot loose string lying around, picking that up can help keep their feet safe! 🩶🐦

I had pigeons nest on my balcony a couple months ago, and watching them grow up is the cutest thing 😭😭

one of those babies now lives with a friend of mine as a rescue, because his leggie wasn't growing right, so he had to be taken to the vet for surgery. all worked out and he's thriving now!! 🥹💕

dude teenage pigeons are so cute!! did you know they also go through a voice crack? baby pigeons don't coo like adult ones, they have a high-pitched squeak, so at some point after they fledge their voice will start cracking and they sound incredibly stupid (affectionate)
