Vance goes on to spout Russian talking points to President country who was invaded by Russia. Zelenskyy is not the one disrespecting the Oval Office here.

This is the most reprehensible display of arrogance, pettiness, and the genuine belief that we should all literally bow to Trump that I've yet seen. It is also deeply, deeply, stupid. These people are inept fools and they have control of the world's largest military. Terrifying.
Now watching Trump yell at Zelensky. And Vance talk to him like he's a toddler. This is a shameful moment for United States diplomacy. It will be hard to recover from this.
Occam's Razor: always go back to Trump's 3 core beliefs, as spelled out by Tom Wright in 2016: Trump is anti-trade, anti-alliances, and pro-authoritarianism. All the theater with Macron and Starmer, all the talk of deals--he is not going to give Ukraine security anything.
