Borussia Dortmund's away kit this season was disappointing, and previous designs haven't given me much hope for classic, elegant kits that truly represent die Schwarzgelben. It's confusing why they often make them too complex, especially when the CL kit this year proves they can nail it.

Fortunately for BVB fans, the team sported the away kit just 4 times in 34 Bundesliga games last season. The March retro jersey and buzz about this season's special kit hints that the classic neon yellow is slowly coming back. Using it this way shows the draw backs we could see if that's the case.

In other uniform news, my beloved BVB officially released this monstrosity of an away kit today.The switch from the 1&1 sponsorship of the last few years to Vodafone brought a nostalgic feel, but instead of tailoring it to fit the club's colors, it will be red on everything but the home kits.
