And for comparison this was (near) Vienna this morning (but I doubt it has changed in the meantime).

I am so grateful my biz lets me do crazy things like go from a completed foggy Vienna four hours by train to the west of the country to ride my bike for a few hours and then head back for another four.

Totally worth it - especially with SAD.

And even got support tickets done on the train!

Recently got back into stamp collecting and I’ve realized it’s one of the few areas where it’s quite easy to get your hand on items from a long gone era.

This one’s about 150y old - a very different world for the original owner.

But I’ve still yet to cross the 2 century mark though…

Second to last day on the final stretch of my midlifecycle.com from Dublin to Vienna. On the first two parts I was blessed with awesome weather. On the last part, not so much. Weather forecast was completely wrong, but nothing some extra layers can't fix. At least it's dry. Onward!

With all the AI talk, this is the point that isn’t talked about enough.

Where is the next generation of seniors going to get their start? I fondly remember the amount of things I learnt from our seniors at my first job. It was invaluable for my career.

Makes me smile to read my little baby is actually helping people get things done... 🥰

Seems I may have summoned the "virtual" Lianna Patch one too many times?

Is "Full Patch Mode" trademarked @punchlinecopy.com ?

(And yes, it came up with that phrase all by itself...)

Left political ad for Conservative-isch Party.
Right bank ad: reads „What will the future bring?“

Makes me wonder if it’s a coincidence or deliberate positioning…

Yeah, but I feel you can make a case for some things if it's combined with a really long session lifetime. Say a video course for example. But definitely not for something that I have to login every. single. day.

Was surprised though yesterday to read this saying they are more secure than user/pwd

Case in point. This is based on a holiday snap (looks nothing like me, neither the comic nor this one), but it seems the filter regards this as different enough from a certain IP than the one above.

Bad whip is fine, but good whip is copyright infringement. Can someone explain?

Seeing this Duo at „Future of Webapps“ in London like 15? years ago started me on my founder journey. Totally worth the one night trip to Austin to celebrate successes #diggnation

Waiting for the show to start! I think they’re live streaming too.

01:30 to go ... Got the basic UIs done and figured out the workflow. Had a look at some other services doing this and there's definitely space for a simple minimal solution, so that's what I'm going with. Mobile web optimized just add your Sender ID, topup credit and call a number from your browser.

Here we go for #NDCLondon 2025 - first tech conference in a long time, maybe even a decade?

The older I got the less I felt I was getting from them but reflecting on 2024 I’m a little too comfortable in my “home”stack and practices.

So looking forward to coming back with new insights and ideas.

Managed to read a lot of books this holiday season and Friendaholic (randomly picked up at the only small bookshop on this island) takes the win.

Mix of autobiography and science snippets. Better than Big Friendships which was previously my fav one on the subject.

Weirdly comforting feeling now.

I’m amused that all these flights were booked going in/out of Washington 😂 thankfully I’m staying in the city between each so not a problem, but do Washingtonians always have to triple check which airport they’re flying from?

So @kevinrose.bsky.social just casually announced Diggnation LIVE in March 2025 and I just happen to be state side for @microconf.com anyway. Lucky me & Stoked.

Apart from just doing admin this December, I couldn't resist the urge to release something new this month too, so based on client feedback my analytics dashboard for Paddle now shows you cash flow for the next 12 months based on your subscriptions.

“Age yourself with your first computer.”

Depends on the definition of “my” and “computer” I guess.

First steps in BASIC on the VTech 2000 that didn’t have writable storage. (Don’t think I played any of the games on it ever.)

And then dad brought home a PS/2 and a world of QBasic was unlocked.

If you mean muting “reposts without any comment” this is my setting and seems to do the trick.
