I may not always like your output but I appreciate the hustle: comics are important and help bring out the best in human being. So do you.

I know you mentioned positive fan mail as a problem in your latest rant, but I wanted to let you know that I understand what you’re going through and really appreciate what you’ve done for comics as an art form.

I regret all of my previous disdain and really appreciate your attempt at edifying people. Comics helped me learned to read and your videos in the late 2000s, especially your work with Suede helped me through my early years of college - in retrospect some of the best times of my life.

As a creative myself who has written a book now and am working on my second, your latest “rant” impacted me. Your anger at schedules, disdain of aging, and frustration at keeping up with your own standards really resonated with me.

I had dismissed you as a hopelessly conservative product of the late 2000s, ensuring that I missed out on the nuance and the humor of the past decade of your material. I was wrong to do so.

I always admired that you were able to criticize Miller’s later work while still recognizing his many unavoidable issues: that “Miller Time” never meant ignoring his status as a legend in his own right.

Frank Miller’s Daredevil was a massive part of my upbringing. Daredevil #181 was the first time I double-taked to the back of the issue and tried to discover the author of the floppy - it was the first time I experienced “Miller Time” in the best possible way.
