Is the death penalty here justice? Yes, a form of it.

Is it the only path to justice? I don't believe so.

I'm also not one of the victim's survivors.

Our penalties reflect our society though, and it says a lot about America where we're still using the firing squad.

I do an outline with the rough cut of what I want to happen, thinking of different points as chapters. Then write the chapters where my head is at at the time. it doesn't have to be written sequentially that way, so the what happens next isn't the only necessary path forward.

What worries me about this current fervor is the people could see pictures and video of it happening and still be good with it. There is a level of cruelty and shamelessness in this version of fascism driving us toward atrocities I don't believe would turn even with clear evidence.
