In class we discussed the unity through sports. I can Vicky remember when the 2010 Vancouver olympics happened and how close the country felt. It showed how sports can bring people together though a movement. This was shown more recently when the blue jays went on their run to the World Series.

This example shows that it is hard for fans to watch the sports they want in Canada due to how it is controlled only 2 or 3 companies. They are able to dictate and force fans to pay the price that they want because they simple how no other choice to turn to.

An example of this happened in 2021 when the Montreal Canadiens made it to the Stanley Cup. It shows that people let out emotion in ways that might harm other people and that there should always be a plan out into place that protects fans.

I define a sport from its competition, does it have completion and is it against someone or something. Golf is a great example, you can play head to head or you can try and set a score. Competition as well doesn’t mean it has to be physical, sports such as chess and poker require thinking.
