I fell in love with DOOM Eternal back in 2020 firmly believing it deserved Game of the Year for its excellence in game design, idTech 2, and its music. Now I can't wait to take a step back from the fast paced race car to the unstoppable Tank that is the DOOM Slayer.

26. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
This is my favorite game all over again. It was my favorite back in 2004 and it is my favorite once again in 2024. The combat, the story, the characters, and the music are just sublime and still has that same charm while sporting QoL changes.

This game is the next Project M for me. Project M/Project Plus has been my favorite Super Smash Bros game for a decade, but I knew it would never grow meaningfully under Nintendo. This is what fans like Adam Carra have been waiting for: The Sequel to Smash Bros.

I got some mixed feelings about this one. The first half of the movie felt like a bit of a retread of the first movie, but the second half felt like a legit sequel and that's where it really grabbed me. The fights were awesome and Denzel stole the show.

Never played the first one, but I enjoyed my time with it. Did feel the falloff in enjoyment after some time though especially with questionable balance decisions. Who knows though? I might return for the glory of Managed Democracy.

This was my first exposure to the lore of Nosferatu and my God, I hated it. Many moments in the film filled me with dread and anxiety with each step that Thomas and Helen took towards their doom with Count Orlok. His voice made my skin crawl. It better get nominated.

The first two were great and somehow the third one tops it. Revenge is not something new, but just like any good story with tropes, it tells that trope well. Sonic and Shadow were shown as mirror images showcasing two different futures. Can't wait for Sonic 4.

The voices, the dialogue between the characters, the fact there is a ban system for Diamond+ comp players (I'm still stuck in Plat), and a few more is why this game is taking the multiplayer shooter space by storm. Overwatch has powerful competition.
