At least 12 Curlew Sandpiper at Browhouses D&G this morning. 2 Little Stint also. Some big counts of 30+ been reported in last week or so. Says something that the more exciting find this morning was a single Grey Plover. #BirdingScotland

First Cettis Warbler ringed at Mersehead CES this morning, Dumfries and Galloway. A male. When we started doing the CES there 15 years ago we wondered when we'd ring our first Cettis. Records becoming more and more common now on the Solway. #birdingscotland

Saw Flow. Was very good, even if it is outdoor cat propaganda.

Took the local SOC group to Stranraer today. Loch Ryan never disappoints. A couple of Long-tailed ducks and good numbers of RT Divers, Common Scoter, Scaup and Black Guillemot. Plus a Great Northern Diver. Quick stop at Soulseat Loch produced a pair of very early Sandmartin #BirdingScotland

Nice to hear a Willow Tit singing on my lunch time walk on the estate. Still clinging on in this tiny SWT reserve now surrounded in new build housing in Dumfries. The farm nearby has been knocked down now and soon the encircling will be complete. #birdingscotland
