“Traditional publishing” still makes sense to me because it’s the type of publishing most people are familiar with — the kind that gets most books into chain bookstores. But, I still don’t like that “independent” means something other than that simply because those books come from somewhere else.

The concept as it is now feel like it's been increasing over the past 5-8 years. But Christopher Paolini published Eragon as a teen, and the author of The Outsiders was 16 when she wrote it, so I feel like young authors have inspired more young writers over time!
