Gorgeous, obviously. I think my favorite shot is the camera turning around Elizabeth as she touches the spine of the body, showing the red lace of her dress on her spine.

Watching a second time, I’m still on the fence about Oscar Isaac’s performance. I think he’s a great actor. And I think over the top melodramatic acting is fine in the genre. But for me it verges or parody. It leans comedic in a way that takes me out of it.

I’m so glad I got to see Frankenstein in theaters. I have beef with Netflix for making it such a limited theater run, hard for people to find, and then dropping it on Netflix AFTER Halloween! Get it together ffs
