I almost lost this photo when a corporation banned me. Natural curly locks! Judy who was a wonderful dog in Manchester England. If only I could transport back in time to that day. How different life was back then. So much hope for the future. Not like recent days.

You can barely see the foal in front of the doe which later hopped. Soybean field that is only 20-12 inches high. It is recent new born.

New delivery of spices. One of the best sources of veggie bullion that actually has taste! Bullion not in the photos because these are the accoutrements that came for free. From my home city Pittsburgh, PA.

Focus with a Bathinov mask. Do not setup the telescope without one! This makes all the difference between a good night and useless data.
May 11, 2025 at 5:03 AM
M106 in the telescope's sights tonight! Meridian flip happened fairly early for this one (10pm) so figured you'd be interested in seeing the rig go through the flipping process (that can be taken out of context).

Sorry for the low res as bsky has a size limit on videos.

Parking the telescope rig before bringing it inside. Clouds can equal rain.

An exceptionally clear night and it isn't freezing outside! Astro rig is hard at work at a new deep sky object. I have focus. I have guiding (not great but I'll take it!). Will be interesting to see what I have to post process tomorrow.

After a long slumber the beast is coming out of hibernation. Clouds forecasted for tonight but Tuesday night is a different story. Going to do the first test run of 2025 for SWAN25F comet near Alpheratz only recently discovered and may or may not survive the encounter with our sun.

Throwback to St. Patrick's day in 2010 in San Francisco. I ran into this pint of Guinness on the street. You can see I'm holding on for dear life so it can't get away!

In 1984 NYU law professor Frank Bress and I were attending a law school conference in New Orleans. One night we went out for dinner at K-Paul Kitchen and the master chef Paul Prudhomme. This photo is my version of their jalapeno infused vodka overnight in refrigerator then remove jalapenos.
