Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🥧👩🏻‍🍳 My family had our celebration on Saturday.
We had a feast!!!! But as delicious as it was, being surrounded by the people I love is what I’m most thankful for. ❤️

I’m off to Disney for a short trip to go to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!!!! 🏰🎅 (Yes, I just went for the Halloween party… but my mom didn’t go on my last few short Disney trips, so this one is just for her and me - plus DISNEY AND CHRISTMAS! Two of my favorite things! How could I resist?!?)

Pumpkin picking is one of my favorite Halloween traditions, and I do it in style! 🎃 I went to FIVE different places to acquire my pumpkin haul this year… and I did it all while wearing one of my signature Halloween looks, so of course, I couldn’t resist taking a bunch of Halloweeny photos!

Ten days to Halloween, and my house is READY! 🎃

The young Fairy bounced on her bed, brandishing her wand with exuberant abandon. “Come on, jump with me!” she called. Her dark eyes sparkled as she shot another blast of magic into the air. Virtuosa clutched her wand safely at her side, feet firmly planted on the ground. “You shouldn’t do that.” Harriet laughed. “Why not?” Her unruly black hair billowed out with every bounce. Many a servant tried to tame it—typically resulting in broken combs and lost tempers—but Harriet preferred to leave it tangled and free. Silky waves like Virtuosa’s required far too much time, energy, and yanking. Luckily, the girls’ nanny, Mary, approved Harriet’s hairstyle (or the lack thereof) despite the glares it earned from courtiers. She’d silence them with a stern look and one of her signature Mary-isms: “Never make yourself smaller for someone else’s comfort. And”—she’d scruffle Harriet’s head playfully—“that includes your hair.” Mary was the closest thing the girls had to a mother. Or a father. Or any relatives, actually, besides each other. Late at night, the sisters compared theories: maybe they were princesses stolen from some far-off kingdom, or the only survivors from a battalion of knights who’d become dragon chow. Or, as the practical Virtuosa suspected, they were just orphans with nowhere else to go. It didn’t matter anyway, as long as they had Mary. Virtuosa ducked as a stream of magic soared over her shoulder, nearly scorching her lace-trimmed nightgown. “We’re too old for that. And if you break something, you’ll get in trouble… again.””
