This course was amazing! The most practical I had! The biggest learning for me was the 3Cs. As a Spanish speaker it is challenging to be concise while writing. Thanks a lot to @elvafisher.bsky.social and @wahibachair.com for this great journey.

Instead of saying "they were kissing passionately," say: "They were kissing as if it were the last time they would see each other."

Storytelling! You've hit the key. Storytelling is an incredibly powerful tool that hasn't been widely spread yet.

I believe that if you're AUTHENTIC when delivering your speech, if you truly mean what you're saying, the audience will be engaged.

Active listening is easy to say but extremely difficult to practice. It's an art and therefore there are very few interviewers that become famous. An example of a great one is @joeroganpodcast.bsky.social

I also think that the news release has the tone and voice of the company or whoever is releasing the news.

The news release informs the audience about a specific issue. It could be about a specific event or change, etc. A news article is informative about something that has happened.

My favorite ads come from a restaurant in my city that uses humor to get attention. They usually pick controversial topics and play with catchy phrases and jokes.

It was a quite intersting class! Academic writing includes a formal tone and specific language to the subject. But news writing is more factual, concise and clear. The reading should flow naturally and I believe that is not as easy to get as it sounds.

With the tariffs and all this commercial war between the USA and Canada, it's important to be informed and understand what are the implications. In the end, drugs affect our whole society so I hope that all of it is for a better future.

Good that you're done with that assignment! This weather isn't helping me avoid procrastination.

My favorite source is CBC but I'm mostly a radio listener. I listen to Matt Gallagher in mornings while driving to work.

If you read something written for the media, it should sound natural... it has to be written using the same language we use for speaking.
While reading academic writing out loud, it's totally different because it doesn't use the register and the tone we use in our daily lives.

It's a great practice to start the year with written goals!
Mine are:
- I'm coursing my last semester, so I want to perform the best as possible.
- Keep on my gym for the whole year.
- Take (and pass) the Delf
