Doug Ford and Poilievre clearly do not like each other. Putting it mildly. Jamil Jivani (a Conservative MP and close friend of JD Vance!) even called Ford “a Liberal hype man.” Like I said. Drama.

Things to watch: division and confusion on the right. Drama between federal Conservatives and provincial PCs is escalating. Nova Scotia’s Tim Houston ad read like a bid to replace Poilievre. More PC style than the more reform/alliance rhetoric the right has had lately).

Elizabeth May wins a Green seat. Again! The Bloc loses a few but still holds a decent share.

Singh lost his seat and stepped down with a gracious concession speech. I think much of the NDP knows this was a lot the Trump-fear factor: left-of-centre voters rallied behind whoever could bit the tories and who had the best knowledge in an economic fight against Trump).

Poilievre loses his riding after nearly 20 years but says he’s staying on as leader. While the Tories have a large number of seats, it is still dropping a 20 point lead and losing a fourth election.
