Southwest Airlines is laying off staff to finance stock buybacks for corporate raiders.

It's a sad day for aviation: For the first time in its history, Southwest Airlines are doing a layoff.

They didn't lay anyone off after 9/11 or during Covid but now corporate raiders Elliott Management are cutting costs to fund stock buybacks.

Four rules I try to live by:

1: Never say anything about a person that you wouldn't say to their face
2: Leave every place you visit a little nicer than you found it.
3: Always believe the best about other people until proven otherwise
4: Whenever possible, give sincere compliments
