Excited to teach GEOG 4165/6165 Data Visualization in Spring 2025. This course provides theoretical foundations and practical training in the graphic representation of spatial data. Topics covered: Cartography, Map Design, Graphical Integrity, Color Theory, Multivariate Mapping, Web Maps.

Truly enjoyed learning about Dr. Heidi Hanson's research on Population Health Surveillance at Oak Ridge National Laboratory during the Spatial Utah Data Science (SUDS) Fall Keynote. Research at national labs is fascinating due to its scale, scope, and direct utility. Hits me every time!
