I know the Alien Rulers are a pretty divisive piece of DLC but to that i say: simply get a lucky 5% instant kill shot when it tries to run away? seems like a simple solution to me.

using explosives against The Lost is the funniest thing you can do imo. while i do like fighting The Lost, it does make these missions take twice as long.

and this mission reward had TWO max rank snipers which is a craaaazy reward to get

(the one soldier killed was a free random unit i got from a Resistance Order so it doesn't really count as someone getting killed, the oomfies are safe and intact)

SIXTY FIVE ENEMIES

nearly lost my Reaper because some Lost revealed her and that activated two groups of Advent, including a Sectopod. Luckily, the Advent Priest went first and Stasised her so she was immune to damage for the round lmao. clutch assist from the enemy.

had to do an Avenger Defense mission; had my Reaper stealth up to the alien beacon you have to destroy and was able to use a sniper to squadsight snipe it from back near the Avenger ramp.. definitely an easier way of doing it than trying to get my whole squad there while still defending the ramp lol

finished a mission to rescue a VIP and ended up also skulljacking an Officer, defeating my first Codex, and fighting off the Warlock. and BigNoNo the Grenadier was only 1 damage off from soloing the Warlock due to lucky crits and the 5% free action chance. a powerful display from XCOM today
