Real. There’s for sure an added pressure to take some of these classes bc they’re sometimes limited runs with very cool people. I’m sure there’s some great ones out there, but it’s a real steep price for the chance to get what you’re looking for

Ahhh that’s the major appeal for me too! I like having a set schedule with deadlines to keep me motivated and on track, especially when trying to do/learn something new. There’s definitely gotta be something out there that’s caters to that without costing an arm and a leg (I hope😬)

I feel the same. I would like to use this opportunity to improve my portfolio (bc it’s been heavy neglected🙃) but with the current climate, investing in classes for this industry doesn’t feel wise. I’ve thought about teaching, but I’m also curious on how to teach ethically/sustainably

That’s been my go to too. It’s tough to find the right bite of ✨knowledge✨ that I’m looking for though, especially for more ‘niche’ practices (for example, production coordination)

There’s been a few courses that I’ve wanted to take, but between the rates and my schedule, it’s never worked out. I have mixed feelings, especially with courses that advertise helping folks enter industries like animation

They’re in addition to normal final tests. Schools don’t have a nation-wide ‘standard’ curriculum, so universities use the SATs instead
