We can't expect nail biting Tours year after year, that's simply not possible.
Although there's still a long way to go but after today, this year now looks almost like a forgone conclusion.
We're all witnessing the next Eddie Merckx, he could end up even better so still feel privileged watching it!

Just caught up with today's stage at the Giro.
Oh my god what the fuck were uae and EF thinking 😂 funniest stage I've ever seen.
So pleased for Yates though, that win was so deserved

When you arrange back to back epic stages in the final week of a grand tour, more often than not the first of those stages results in a stalemate scenario, no one wants to use up too much energy for the following day

If there's any way of finding out if a rider is slightly below par and possibly recovering from sickness it's a TT, no where to hide against the clock

Okay, maybe I've upset a few people, certainly unintentionally but I'm old enough to remember the Hinault years ( the back end of) and I've never seen anyone better than him until I started witnessing Pogi so forgive me for getting carried away wanting him to win today, against the odds
