I used dried blueberries and pistachios in the cookies and covered them with wildflowers: blue cornflower, common alkanet, and wild violets. A classy bouquet of biscotti

After boiling the spruce shoots in water, the leftover liquid is used for the syrup and the boiled shoots go in jars for a spiced pickling juice. So easy! And can be enjoyed in so many ways- pancakes! salads! sandwiches! you name it!

• dust with either:

Sour coating: 1tsp citric acid ("sour salt") & 1Tbsp sugar

Sweet coating: 1Tbsp cornstarch & 1Tbsp powdered sugar

• Boil ingredients in saucepan on med-high until 150-155ºC/300-310ºF
• Add a few drops of flavor and color (don't stir, the bubbles will take care of that)
• Carefully pour into molds or greased pan; cool ca 30min
• remove from molds

Turkish rocket (russekål) and bittercress (vinterkarse) are troublesome here in Norway, but they're edible and spinachy, and I'm guessing the garlic mustard that's invasive back home in Indiana could be cooked this way, too.
