Alex, you can call me Al

Hello. I like you. I like to work on various... writing projects? 🤷 I guess you can describe it. Currently working on a collapsible storyboard for my script Polybius. I also like video games, and comics, and music... You know, all that crap.
Well he totally misunderstood the point of SH1 but SH: Revelations was so bad people glazed the STILL NOT GOOD first movie, so they made him in charge of Return to SH and low and behold he totally missed the mark again. As long as the keep giving Chris Gans the reigns they'll all be terrible

Are you going to write a book about how you posted this?

I'm a writer and my psychological horror script, Polybius, takes that ambiguous philosophy in hopes, like The Thing people will watch it over and over again to find proof to validate their own personal theories.

Like a cult classic recipe

One of my favorite sketches from SCTV with a young Catherine O'Hara kicking it off

Absolutely. It's not just what clues John Carpenter shows but also what he doesn't show which makes it such an intriguing mystery to solve. And it's all purposeful

From what I see I think you're a total cutie-patootie

Another very mysterious thing about the movie is when Childs leaves his post. Not just why, but when they show he's gone there's a bunch of changes in the background. There's a for behind where he stood now open. The clothes hanging next to him are all rearranged. I don't think details like that are

My general rule is just don't DM people. If I wanna call someone cute, I'm gonna do it here. Out in the open

They'll meet us in the middle, so the best thing to do is demand something WAY to the left
January 29, 2026 at 11:15 PM
Just because you won't get it doesn't mean you shouldn't demand it. We shouldn't be tight lipped about what we want. We'll get more if we demand more. Sure, they won't abolish ice, but we'll get more with that messaging than "cut their funding"

I think political folk music in general is making a comeback, with him and that new Jesse kid, and a lot of people posting protest songs of the 60's and 70's

My all time favorite dark comedy.

It's such the perfect dark comedy, that it makes me question if any other film in existence is EVEN a dark comedy... if that makes sense

Not X-Men but I got into Marvel originally at a time when Deathlok and Sleepwalker were fairly popular characters and no one knows who they are now

The thing about his death is he is confirmed human when he died, and he just found MacCreedy's torn up jacket, which was later found in the fire place in his room. A lot of intriguing clues spawn from what happened to Fuchs
January 29, 2026 at 9:07 PM
I think it's key that The Thing be ambiguous on the actual process the thing takes to copy a person. I know the sequel/prequel actually shows that process, but I don't really take that movie into account

What happened to Fuchs I find one of the biggest mysteries of The Thing

The thing is, they tried to make the MCU Thanos more relatable, while the original Thanos' motives were much more psychotic.

He wanted to wipe out half the universe to impress Death

And when Death told him, that's not what she wants, he was like Welp I'm going to do it anyway

Which feels a lot
