Drought is what will tip the climate emergency into a crisis. The signs are already visible.
In Tehran, pop. 10m, they are close to Day Zero for water and the President is talking about the need to evacuate the city. 10m people with nowhere to go!

I did the calculation recently and the overall rates for wages and dividends including NI are almost identical.
It’s finely adjusted to prevent self-employed people using dividends to avoid tax.

Dividends are paid after corporation tax but wages reduce corporation tax. So the effective tax rate on dividends is higher than those headline rates suggest.
