I've been feeling this but I genuinely think it's
1) it's harder to find a good video game that isn't trying to suck you dry, and there's only so many indie games.
2)economy is bad and I worry about spending too much time on games when I need to do stuff before work.
3)life is stressful rn.

It shouldn't be, I agree. But when they hold your whole livelihood over your head, sometimes you're not in the position to do anything about it. :/

Maybe that's how they get you, because the "PTO" I get is referred to as *paid* time off, not personal. There's is a separate personal and sick time that they can't deny but it's so little and bundled in with "vacation" time.

In the report they even had some company spiel about how pto is "also for emergencies so don't abuse it" AS IF I FUCKING HAD.

I saved up 2 weeks of PTO for an end of year getaway but my cars engine blew up and I used all of it to find a new car in short notice.
Well even tho I went into debt just to get back to work, I still missed two days uncovered so I got strikes against me.
Fuck American companies.
