If you say that you don’t want to see your kid cry because you want them to be alright, what you’re also saying is that crying isn’t done by “alright” people. And, that’s just not true. Crying can be a very rational and reasonable reaction in many contexts.

If you have 0 dollars you are closer to being a millionaire than any billionaire is. In fact, you’re closer to being a 100 millionaire than a billionaire is.
Think of it like this if you have 1 dollar you’re closer to having 10 dollars than someone with 100 dollars is. Billionaires are the minority.

You know how some people say “life begins at conception” well life doesn’t begin so that just kind of doesn’t work. Life is a cycle. Cycles don’t have beginnings or endings. It’s like the question which came first the chicken or the egg? We don’t know.

Little reminder, the phrase “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” originally meant to attempt something foolish and impossible. Think about it, if you’re standing wearing boots and you try to pull yourself off the ground by the straps on your boots it isn’t going to work.
