Got it - I just find it rather funny, I'd always given SCART for granted, and I actually ended up discovering through these people that not only it can output 1080i/p on the full pin variant, there was support for CEC-style device control.

Got it, thanks for the explanation! I had first heard of FPGA a few years ago because a lot of North American people are discovering that SCART is one of, if not THE best output for analogue signals, and I found it amusing due to me being European and always having used SCART over the years.
