Check out our new insect decline paper. By analysing 36 yrs of German ground beetle distribution data, we show:
- ~80% of species have declined, with significant declines for >50%.
- The decline was similar across species traits and threatened status.

Heute ist der 22. März (Weltwassertag) und in fast ganz Deutschland sind die oberen Bodenschichten ausgetrocknet.
Die Karten des UFZ Dürremonitors weisen sogar extreme Dürre in vielen Landesteilen aus.
Das sollte man ernst nehmen. Anstatt über die Abschaffung des Umweltministeriums zu fabulieren.

This is scary full-on McCarthyism - I can't see that co-operating with such a survey could possibly be beneficial. I think the European advice of boycott better than the Australian 'co-operate'. Have any blue-skyers received such a survey? Would be good to share here
