Tiny Stephen King Adjacent Book Review: King Sorrow, by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son). Ancient dragon summoned by 6 college friends to kill 2 bad people. They spend decades dealing with the (very horrible) consequences. Excellent characterizations. I learned the word egregore!

Tiny Shameless Promotion: The Otherland series, by Tad Williams is to be adapted for tv. The books are brilliant and prescient. A company called Platige is in charge of the effects.

Tiny Apple+ Review: Murderbot. The Preservation crew are portrayed as blithering idiot refugees from a Monty Python skit about commune hippies. One of them literally does not know which end of a laser pistol is the shooty part. Gah.

Have you heard the good news? They are discontinuing the minting of the penny (it costs about 3x as much as the face value)! Yay!! Frankly, however, since it costs 14 cents to make/distribute the nickel, I have Questions.

I am proving to be hilariously inept at making my bluetooth alarm clock connect to anything useful. So far, the best I can do is make it pair, then mysteriously unpair, with my headphones, like a dysfunctional couple in a Hallmark movie that cannot agree on whose music to listen to.

A friend sent me a giant list of Movie Tropes (e.g. bullet wounds to the arm are best treated with a sling). I have decided that the House Deep Cleaning can wait a while as I write a one act play entitled "Never Answer the Phone With Hello."

What I should be doing: bathroom deep cleaning. What I am doing: worldbuilding for my story about a disgraced Pinkerton's detective kidnapped by aliens to solve the heist of their Sacred and Wise Pebble by time traveling super evolved ravens. Will there be a cameo by Poe? Did you even need to ask?

My best friend had a procedure that helped. Once, there were many gods, tall as mountains, terrifying. Inscrutable. But I have always preferred the small gods, who save us incrementally. Today, I light a candle to these tiny infinities. They are under your feet. They love your every step.
