It's a long term degenerative illness, which is notoriously affecting normal people more than anyone else.

The first two chapters of "Capitalist Realism" by Mark Fisher have pretty iconic titles that simply explain what's happening.

It's a process that started in the late noughties, with the 2008 crisis; with COVID-19 the age of surveillance became a necessity.

Usually the good thing about turn-based combat games is the story and the math behind the combat, not the combat itself. But there are definitely some games with great turn-based combat.
